Date: 10 July 2025

London Metropolitan University has made year-on-year progress in this year’s National Student Survey (NSS), with improved scores across every theme. While the results show clear signs of positive momentum, the University remains focused on further closing the gap to sector benchmarks.

Year-on-year improvements across key areas of the student experience; from teaching and academic support to student voice and communicating wellbeing and mental health provision showcase London Met’s high standing among students.

One of the most notable increases this year is a 5.7 percentage point rise in how students rated communication of mental health and wellbeing support services, reflecting our unwavering commitment to student mental health, ensuring all students are supported, connected, and able to thrive throughout their time at London Met. A subject which has been highly publicised in recent years.

This excellent result sits alongside a 5.2 percentage point increase in Organisation and Management demonstrating improvements in student satisfaction with our course structure, delivery, and leadership, and a 3.5 percentage point increase in academic support, highlighting the positive impact of our integrated approach to student success; combining high-quality academic teaching and guidance with supportive wellbeing services.

Other key areas showing improvement from last year include teaching and learning, assessments and feedback, and student voice, which London Met consistently scores highly in.

These continued improvements reflect the dedication of our staff and the inclusive, student-focused environment we foster across the University.
